The Lake Norman community is being asked to save one of its most precious resources: the senior center on West Catawba Avenue, which provides health and financial services to hundreds of older adults each week.
Kicking4Hunger, a soccer camp that raises food to feed the hungry, will be July 13-15 at C.C. Griffin Middle School and July 16-18 at Bethel Elementary School. Details: www.kicking4hunger.org.

For the fifth straight year, Big Day at the Lake will give kids in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters programs of Greater Charlotte a chance to fish, tube, swim or just ride around on a boat.
