Former Charlotte 49ers forward Darion Clark, who left the program recently, is transferring to Southern California, Clark told the Observer.

The expanded ACC will have a new look with new teams in 2013-14, but a familiar face will tower above the rest: Duke and Mike Krzyzewski.

When Mike Krzyzewski arrived triumphantly at Raleigh-Durham International Airport last August, with a second gold medal in hand, he said he was done coaching the United States Olympic team.

The Charlotte 49ers have signed Florida-transfer Braxton Ogbueze, a point guard who was a top-100 prospect when he left Charlotte’s United Faith Christian Academy two years ago.

Mike Krzyzewski made $9.7 million in 2011. That’s significantly more than NC State paid its athletic director, football coach and basketball coach combined. It’s also the most of any college coach since USA Today started tracking salaries in 2006.
