Here's how the United Way will divide its money for the budget year beginning July 1. The agency, crippled by economic woes and the furor over the salary of its former executive director, had almost $7.5 million less to hand out. Its leaders say they tried to protect emergency-needs charities. But only one of the some 90 United Way-supported nonprofits will get more money this year, and most will experience significant cuts.
