Fund will pay tuition for low-income kids

The Children's Scholarship Fund-Charlotte is sponsoring a fund raising event next Thursday at the Duke Mansion in Charlotte.

Money raised at the event will be used for tuition assistance to low-income children, to help them attend private schools. The Children's Scholarship Fund-Charlotte is in its 11th year of helping children. It annually provides assistance to more than 300 students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The Nov. 12 event, titled "Opening Doors of Opportunity," will include a cocktail dinner and stories from scholarship recipients.

Admission is $100. For details, contact Ann Barnes, at 704-373-2378 or abarnes@csfcharlotte.org.
