Amelie's “savory program” is a go at 2424 N. Davidson St., with items such as bacon, egg and cheese in puff pastry; zero-carb sausage, egg and cheese bake; spinach and asiago in vol-au-vent; and ham on buttered baguette joining the sweet pastry lineup.
The bakery's “ Mini-Re” was slated to be ready by now; that's a room furnished by the Habitat for Humanity Restore, in which all items will be for sale to benefit Habitat.
Also: Earmark some time between 6 and 9 p.m. Friday, July 11, to celebrate Bastille Day in NoDa.
Amelie's will sell ham sandwiches, Dolce Vita (3205 N. Davidson St.) will have French wines to taste, and Smelly Cat Coffee House (514 E. 36th St.) plans to discount French roast coffee and French vanilla iced lattes (!).
