‘Van Gogh Alive’

Noon-5 p.m. (also 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday). Discovery Place, 301 N. Tryon St. Sold for timed entries, $20 for adults; $18 for ages 2-13 or seniors.

Last chance to catch the exhibit, which contains more than 3,000 images of Van Gogh’s paintings, sketches and letters that are splashed digitally from wall to floor – immersing visitors in his work through 40 high-definition projectors.



2 p.m. (also 8 p.m. Friday and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday). Stage Door Theatre, Fifth and College streets. $20-$24. 704-372-1000.

And for more Van Gogh: James Briggs performs Leonard Nimoy’s one-man play about the painter; the show includes 100 high-resolution projections on a large screen. Final performance.
