Paul McCartney has played in Charlotte and Raleigh in recent years, but the 72-year-old former Beatle will perform in Greensboro for the first time during an Out There Tour concert at Greensboro Coliseum on Oct. 30.
The singer released a YouTube video earlier this week assuring fans that he’s recovered from a virus that forced him to cancel shows in Asia. The Out There Tour resumes in Albany, N.Y., on July 5.
McCartney’s current set list is said to span more than 50 years of his music, from The Beatles and Wings to songs from 2013’s acclaimed solo album “New.”
Tickets for the Oct. 30 show in Greensboro go on sale Monday. American Express cardholders can buy them through a pre-sale that runs through 10 p.m. Sunday. Details: www.PaulMcCartney.com.
