Randy Johnson, whose new book, “Grandfather Mountain: The History and Guide to an Apalachian Icon,” was reviewed today on the Books page of the Observer’s Carolina Living section, will give two presentations this week.
He’ll be at Morrison Regional Library, 7015 Morrison Blvd., at 6 p.m., Tuesday, reading and signing copies of the new book.
On Friday, he’ll be at Park Road Books, 4139 Park Road, Park Road Shopping Center, at 7 p.m., talking about the book and signing coies.
Says Mary Cornatzer in the review, “The book truly lives up to its title. Here you’ll learn about the geological formation of Grandfather, the first scientitic forays into the area, the early explorers of the region and the stories of those who have long called the area home.”
And the photographs are gorgeous.
Both events are free, and you’re invited.
