‘Particle Falls’ Grand Opening

“Particle Falls” is a public art installation by scientist/artist Andrea Polli that reveals the invisible particle pollution in the air. An animated light projection on the side of the UNC Charlotte Center City building visually changes based on the real time particulate matter readings from a nephelometer, a scientific instrument that gathers data about air pollution. The projection will take place at dusk every evening through April 23. On Friday, the installation will begin with a grand opening event featuring the artist.
