Obviously, uptown Charlotte is going to be one massive party all weekend long with the CIAA tournament tipping off in our town. But here are some other options with less traffic and parking hassles.

Obviously, uptown Charlotte is going to be one massive party all weekend long with the CIAA tournament tipping off in our town. But here are some other options with less traffic and parking hassles.

Friday

The second annual NoDa Gras Bar Crawl: Go crawlin’ like you’re in N’awlins, starting at Cabo Fish Taco (3201 N. Davidson St.) at 7 p.m.; proceeding to The Blind Pig, Jack Beagle’s and Revolution Ale House; and ending at Boudreaux’s Louisiana Kitchen – or Amelie’s for a late-night snack, if you want. $10-$15. 704-421-6155.

TyberPalooza at Tyber Creek Pub (1933 South Blvd.): Two nights full of bands, DJs, beer tastings and the Olympics of drinking games, including Flip Cup Friday (with $200 in prizes) and a cornhole tournament Saturday. With live music from Jay Mathy Band and Mission 19. DJ Wiggz and DJ J Good will spin. 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, noon-midnight Saturday. NAN’s This Weekend (as in Nan and Byron’s, 1714 South Blvd.): With DJ Jamie Overcash Friday and DJ Clay Hefner Saturday, and $2.50 beer specials. 11 p.m.-2 a.m. both nights. No cover. 980-224-7492.

Teal Masquerade at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille (911 E. Morehead St.): A masquerade party, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Teal Diva, a sisterhood of gynecologic cancer survivors. With live music from Slow Motion Riot, followed by a DJ. 6-11 p.m. $10 (includes mask and a teal specialty cocktail). www.tealdiva.org.
