Matthews Community Farmers’ Market Dinner
Local chefs Adam Reed, Luca Annunziata, Paul Verica, Tim Groody and Joe Kindred will team with Joe Bonaparte of the Myrtle Beach Culinary Institute for a fundraising dinner benefiting Matthews Community Farmers’ Market on July 18 at Passion8 (1523 Elizabeth Ave.). The summer edition of Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week returns July 22-31. More than 130 restaurants in the Charlotte metro area will be offering three courses at dinner for $30 or $35, including first-time participants Aix en Provence, and 204 North Kitchen & Cocktails. The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge

JJ’s Red Hots
JJ’s Red Hots is celebrating National Hot Dog month in July with a featured dog each week for $4.99. The lineup offers a Maized and Confused dog with jalapeno creamed corn through Sunday; the Home Slice dog topped with marinara, mozzarella and pepperoni July 11-17; Put That in Your Pipe with smoked jalapeno ketchup, red onion, bacon crumbles and smoked cheddar July 18-24; and the Murica dog with beer queso, pepper jelly and bacon crumbles July 25-31. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
OMB (4150 Yancey Road) will celebrate 500 years of Reinheitsgebot, the German purity law that states that beer should be made from water, hops, malt and yeast, July 22-24. Plans for the weekend-long party include live music nightly and a release of the brewery’s Mecklenburg lager, a Munich-style Helles beer.
TerraVita Food & Drink Festival
