A new food truck that launched Wednesday called Twisted Eats serves items made only with Wooden Robot beer. The truck is a collaboration between chef Rob Masone of Kre8 Xperiences and Wooden Robot Brewery. It will serve beer-infused menu items like beer cheese and beer boiled macaroni and cheese egg rolls.
The food truck will be parking outside Wooden Robot Brewery at 1440 S. Tryon St. in South End Wednesday through Saturday evenings, as well as on Sunday for a special “funday” brunch.

Plaza Midwood neighbors may be glad to know a new concept coming to the former Joe Hoopers Neighborhood Pub spot on Central Avenue is neither a condo nor an apartment.
According to the newly launched www.itsnotacondo.com, a “great new place to eat and drink is coming to 1300 Central Avenue” in early 2016.
The site was put up Thursday morning to “generate some buzz and curiosity,” says Ken Thomas, vice president of entertainment at the Ark Group, which develops the NC Music Factory.
Thomas and his business partner Zach Current bought the Joe Hoopers business earlier this fall. Current is a founder and former operator of Fuel Pizza who will be focusing full-time on the new Plaza Midwood concept, Thomas says.
5Church opens Charleston location
Popular uptown Charlotte restaurant 5Church opens a Charleston location Friday. The new restaurant is in an old church at 32B N. Market St. in Charleston’s downtown historic district. 5Church Charleston will be Charlotte-based MAP Management’s third restaurant, after 5Church and Nan & Byron’s in South End.

Craft Cocktail Tour Returns
