Jordan Lloyd of Matthews will be one of the contestants on the next installment of the CBS reality series “Big Brother.”
Lloyd, 22, who works as a waitress, will be seen on the show, which returns for its 11th season next week.
CBS announced Thursday that in addition to the 12 regular contestants, a 13th surprise houseguest will join the cast. One is eliminated each week.
This season's theme will be a return to high school, CBS said. Contestants will be separated into four high school cliques – popular, athletes, brainiacs and off-beats. The cliques will compete for food, safety from eviction and luxury prizes.
“You may have graduated, but the truth is we never leave high school and this summer we are going to prove it,” says Allison Grodner, the show's executive producer.
“Big Brother” contestants will live in an eco-friendly house and will be required to sort and recycle or compost their household waste.
“Big Brother” will debut at 8 p.m. July 9, then will be aired three times a week – at 8 p.m. Sundays, 9 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 p.m. Thursdays.
