- This new series provides yet another take on previously dead people suddenly reappearing in a small town. But this one is a remake of the excellent French series (“Les Revenants,” which aired in the U.S. on Sundance Channel in 2012), not based on Jason Mott’s 2013 novel “The Returned” (which is the basis for the ABC series called “Resurrected”). It’s confusing, I know. But executive producer Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) insists that if you watched the French series, you’ll still enjoy this one. It starts out the same, Cuse says, and has the same characters, but is still “distinctly different.” Look for it to take a turn after episode 6. It stars

The Bachelor (8 p.m., ABC) - In the season finale, farmer Chris Soules returns to Iowa with Whitney and Becca and introduces them to his family. Then he’ll choose one and propose – or not. Either way, it will all get rehashed on “After the Final Rose” at 10.
Bates Motel (9 p.m., A&E) - In the Season 3 premiere, Norma sets some boundaries with Norman (although I’m thinking it may be a little too late for that).
The Following (9 p.m., Fox) - Ryan may have been able to connect Andrew to Mark, but he and the FBI are unsure of how everything ties back to Joe Carroll.
Jane the Virgin (9 p.m., CW) - News about the baby’s health has Jane and Rafael reconsidering their living arrangements.
