Under the Dome (10pm, CBS) - This Wilmington-filmed series, based on a novel by Stephen King, returns for its second season tonight, with an episode written by King. We’ll get to see what happened after the explosion of pink stars in the Season 1 finale -- and also, if Big Jim (Dean Norris) will actually let Barbie (Mike Vogel) hang. We’re guessing Barbie is safe, but King recently told reporters that he’s loving the new TV trend in which no characters are safe, and that he “jumped at the chance to kill off a couple of loved series regulars.” So don’t miss it.
Also on tonight . . .
Beauty and the Beast (8pm, CW) - Gabe tries to woo Cat by taking her on a romantic date.
24: Live Another Day (9pm, Fox) - Jack remains laser-focused on pursuing his remaining leads, and emotions escalate when Kate learns the truth about her husband.
Murder in the First (10pm, TNT) - Erich Blunt takes in a drug-fueled weekend with Ivana West. Elsewhere, Terry and Hildy deal with fallout from a shooting and Hildy faces the possibility of losing her job.
Longmire (10pm, A&E) - Walt attempts to narrow the field of suspects in his wife’s murder, while Branch’s behavior causes trouble.
