Sharknado 2: The Second One (8pm, Syfy) - The ultimate bad Syfy movie, “Sharknado,” gets its sequel tonight, with shark-infested storms hitting New York City. But don’t fear. As luck would have it, the heroes from the first movie just happen to be in NYC for a Sharknado Survival Guide book tour, so they’ll once again save the day. Can’t reveal if that save involves helicopters and dynamite. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return, along with guests Robert Klein, Judd Hirsch, Robert Hayes, Vivica A. Fox, Judah Friedlander, Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Biz Markie.

Also on tonight . . .

Penn & Teller: Fool Us (8pm, CW) - Aspiring magicians try to fool the veteran duo with a single trick and win a spot in Penn & Teller’s Las Vegas show. In the opener, magicians Mark Shorland, Mathieu Bich, Young & Strange, and Daniel Madison perform.

Who Do You Think You Are (9pm, TLC) - Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“Modern Family”) is shocked to learn of his great-grandfather’s hustling ways during the Gilded Age, especially when he assumes his family never did anything noteworthy. And if you missed last week’s season premiere episode featuring Cynthia Nixon, keep your eyes peeled (not sure why tonight’s repeat at 8 p.m. is from another season!).

Suits (9pm, USA) - Rachel brings disturbing news while Mike is still reeling from the aftermath of the battle for Gillis Industries. Feeling Harvey is his only friend left, Mike makes a rash decision.

Extant (9pm, CBS) - Sparks tries to quarantine Molly, but she and her family flee to a remote island with her estranged father. When the agency closes in on them, Ethan is exposed to grave danger.

Sex in the Wild (10pm, UNC-TV) - This week’s installment focuses on the reproductive secrets of marsupials. Included: the gravity-defying mating of koalas and a fostering program for rock wallabies.

Taxi Brooklyn (10pm, NBC) - The wife of a notorious stalker is murdered in a case that forces Cat to face her past. She reluctantly agrees to take the lead on the investigation, but only if Leo is by her side.
