What to Watch on Sunday: New ‘Wicked Tuna’ season films off Outer Banks

Some of Gloucester’s top fisherman head to the Outer Banks to vie against North Carolina fishermen for bluefin tuna.

Wicked Tuna North vs. South (10pm, National Geographic Channel) - This spinoff of “Wicked Tuna,” shot on location on the Outer Banks, has some of that show’s top Gloucester fishermen heading south to fish for bluefin tuna. Throughout the series, the northern captains struggle to conquer new styles of fishing while suffering the wrath of the Outer Banks’ top captains, who resent the Yankee invasion. The Yanks will also have to learn to navigate some of the most treacherous waters in the world, including the Oregon Inlet (aka “The Graveyard of the Atlantic”). The North Carolina boats featured are The Fishin’ Frenzy, captained by Greg Mayer; the Wahoo, captained by Reed Meredith; and the Doghouse, captained by Britton Shackelford.

Betrayed (8pm, Lifetime Movie Network) - In this movie, scandal erupts when a pregnant woman’s lover is kidnapped while they vacation on Cape Cod, and her husband is forced to pay the ransom.

Great Food Truck Race (9pm, Food) - Eight teams (none from around here) arrive in Santa Barbara, Calif., to compete for their very own food truck in the Season 5 premiere. Their first challenge is to define their brand and create a signature dish.

True Blood (9pm, HBO) - Hoyt is reminded of the past while Bill pushes Sookie away. Also, Eric faces a dilemma when he’s caught in a lie.

The Last Ship (9pm, TNT) - Volunteers are asked to participate in human trials of Rachel’s vaccine, but the effects could be nightmarish. Meanwhile, in the States, Chandler’s wife and father struggle to keep their family alive.

TD Jakes 35th Anniversary (10pm, BET) - Biship TD Jakes celebrates his 35th anniversary of ministry with surprise tributes from Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Pastor Paula White and others.

Manhattan (10pm, WGN) - The arrival of a high-profile guest shakes things up.

Masters of Sex (10pm, Showtime) - Hendricks bans Masters from using black participants in his study, but Masters contacts a journalist to aid his efforts. Meanwhile, Johnson is forced to accept DePaul’s choice to end her chemotherapy treatment, and Gene learns the truth about Betty and Helen’s relationship. Also, Libby ( grrr!) fires Coral after discovering she lied about Robert being her lover.
