    Anne and Tommy Miller of Charlotte are pictured in front of the Peace Statue in Peace Park in Nagasaki, Japan. The famous statue's right hand points upwards, depicting the threat of the atomic bomb and the left hand stretches horizontally, appealing for eternal world peace. The statue's closed eyes offer a prayer for the repose of the atomic bomb victim's souls. They were there on December 6, 2007, on a cruise to China and Southeast Asia.

Passau was the last stop on a river cruise up the Danube from Budapest, Hungary, exploring the Christmas Markets in the villages along the river. The inscription on the carving roughly translated means, "a gifted king was born."
