Here's your chance to stop by million-dollar homes

Curious to see what the inside of a $1 million house looks like?

The Home Builders Association of Charlotte is hosting the first Luxury Lifestyle Home Tour during three weekends: today and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 and Nov. 7-8.

The self-guided tour includes homes from the following builders: Simonini Builders Inc., MacNeil Homes, Harrington & Associates, New Tradition Homes of N.C., Andrew Roby Inc., the Dowd Co. and Goodwin Classic Homes Inc.

The tour involves some driving, with many areas of Charlotte represented, including Myers Park, Weddington, Waxhaw and South Park. Home sizes range from 3,356 to 8,244 square feet.

Tickets are not available at the tour homes, so tour-goers need to buy tickets in advance. Discount tickets are available for $10 at participating Harris Teeter stores. They also are available for $15 online at the Home Builders Association of Charlotte's Web site, www.hbacharlotte.com.

Tour hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. Sundays.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Levine Children's Hospital.

Directions to and information about each home on the tour is available on the association's Web site, www.hbacharlotte.com. Cristina Bolling
