NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said pregame the league is looking into trimming some of the preseason in order to add some time to the regular season. That would be welcome news to the Hornets, who regularly play as many back-to-back sets of games as any franchise in the league. That happens partially because the Hornets request so many weekend home dates.

Now that the Charlotte Hornets and the city of Charlotte have agreed to an arena renovation, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said its inevitable Charlotte will get an All-Star Game.

Dealing away top acquisition Lance Stephenson might require patience by the Charlotte Hornets, partly because publicity about his struggles.
