Grover man charged in home invasion

GASTONIA, N.C. – Police have arrested a Grover man after a violent home invasion.

The incident happened Friday just after 1 a.m. Officials said Garreath Bickham, 26, busted through the victim's door and hit him. According to the police report officials also found Bickham to be in possession of "21 clear plastic bags of cocaine." The victim told authorities three men ran into his home.

Bickham is facing several charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, possession, and resisting an officer.

He was being held under a $445,000 bond. It's unclear the identy of the other suspects.
