For me, sipping on a glass of white wine while watching a line of beautiful wedding gowns parade in front of me is pretty much euphoric. A little over a week ago I was sitting in J Majors Bridal Boutique, wine in hand, previewing the Watters’ spring bridal collection and, ladies, I’ve got to share the details.

First of all, if you have never been to J Majors Bridal Boutique, then stop what you are doing and make an appointment. The Watters event happened to be my first visit to J Majors and I was absolutely blown away by their selection of gowns. Their racks seem like an endless sea of luxurious fabrics and sparkle. And the minute I stepped through the door – I was smitten.

While J Majors carries many designers, the event itself was for Watters, one of my absolute favorite wedding gown designers. The show started and French music began to play. As the models began walking out I was immediately transported to the City of Love. From the lace and chiffon to the Parisian silhouettes, each dress had a romantic feel.

I noticed a few standout spring trends in the line. Lace, open backs, and the color blush were common themes. When it comes to lace, I’m almost always a fan. Maybe it’s because I’m a southern gal but lace just oozes romance and class. Plus, I loved the lace fabric paired with the daring open-backed gowns. And since we’re now talking about open-backed gowns, there were some in this collection that literally made my jaw drop. An open-back instantly adds elegance and drama to a bridal look. I also love, love, loved the collection’s blush-colored wedding gown. It was by far one of my favorites. And even if a colored gown isn’t your thing, you can still stay on trend with blush-colored bridesmaids dresses.

Overall, the fashion show was a hit. There were many brides who signed up for appointments that following weekend to try on the Watters gowns for themselves. And if you haven’t said yes to dress yet then you need to pick up the phone and make an appointment too!
