The Ravenwood Garden Club hopes to develop a county-sponsored landscaping test site in Ravenwood or Grove Park. Mecklenburg County plans to offer free landscaping designs to homeowners willing to convert their lawns to more diverse habitats with groundcover, shrubs, flower beds and vegetable gardens. Lawn substitutes will be discussed in future community newsletters.
