Cornelius police have arrested and charged two more suspects in the Jan. 2 kidnapping of a Cornelius man.
Conover police and Catawba County sheriff's investigators assisted in the arrest this week of Alvaro Iriarte Jr., 35, of Newton. Cornelius police arrested and charged Justin Smith Singletary of Newton this week.
Both suspects were charged with three counts of felony second-degree kidnapping and one count each of first-degree burglary and larceny of a motor vehicle.
Police last week arrested and charged bail bondsmen William Matthew Harris, 42, of Sherrills Ford and John Joseph Russell, 35, of Charlotte with the same offenses.
Singletary, Harris and Russell worked for World Wide Bonding of Charlotte. Police wouldn't discuss Iriarte's connection.
Police said the kidnappers were trying to find one of the man's relatives. Police said they won't release any more details, because the investigation is ongoing.
