I was surprised to learn that, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF), America’s spending on Valentine’s Day ranks second in competition with the winter holiday season.
NRF has projected that this year, discount stores will take the lead in highest Valentine’s Day sales with departments stores close behind. FYI--*NRF also projects that jewelry spending will be up 2% from last year AND that men will spend more than women* That sounds like good news for some of us!Concord Mills (which is full of discount stores!) is making the holiday easier on our wallets with a variety of gifts under $50.
Some of my favorite picks include...
For Her:Michael Kors cosmetic bagColorful wristlets from CoachA variety of charms, rings and earrings all under $50 at Kay Jewelers
For Him:Boxers 4/$25 at Banana Republic or 40% off at GapCashmere scarves from OFF 5thGuess, Nautica and Timex watches up to 70% off, and under $50 at Time Watch Outlet
In addition to these gift ideas, a quick browse through TJMAXX and a few gift cards can complete gift buying for your list of loved ones.
NOW—let’s focus on you. Whether you have a romantic date or will be hanging out with friends on February 14th, you’ve got to greet the holiday in style!
