It has just been brought to my attention that February 14-20 is Random Acts of Kindness Week.
What is Random Acts of Kindness Week? This is when we are supposed to focus on the spirit of hope and goodness. It is a springboard for action. A time to act upon thoughts of generosity that arise spontaneously from your heart.
This week is an invitation for individuals, schools, community groups, service clubs, businesses, health institutions, schools and churches to join hearts and hands to create a better world.
Never miss a local story.
A kind act is "random" when it is unexpected-done simply out of the will to extend goodness, person to person, without expecting anything in return.
Are you up for the challenge? Well, if you live in Highland Creek, FYI, the community is hosting its Second Annual Random Acts of Kindness week. The community wants residents to take the time to do something for the community or a neighbor who may need your assistance. Then you can submit your act of kindness in a detailed written letter to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 25. Select stories will be showcased in the April Newsletter.
For act of kindness ideas go to: Acts of Kindness.
Join in the "kindness revolution" today and make a positive difference on this planet that we all call "home." The Clark family is up for the challenge! We will let you know what we decide to do in next week’s installment.
Until then, do something kind for someone else!
