The Science and Technology Expo wraps up the North Carolina Science Festival in fun fashion, with more than 70 activities and displays. Participants will explore the fields of robotics, motorsports, chemistry, physics, astronomy, optics, biotechnology and ecology.

Easter Egg Roll and Hop Tour
Sat 10 a.m.-1 p.m. SouthPark mall, 4400 Sharon Road. simon.com/mall/southpark.
The Hop Tour starts at Fountain Court with Big Bunny, moves to Center Court for pictures and egg decorating and finishes with an egg roll competition at Circle Court. Event requires a Kidgit Club membership, which costs $5 for a year of activities at Concord Mills and SouthPark mall.
Irish performer Danny Ellis

This month’s Charlotte Folk Society’s gathering and concert features the Irish singer, songwriter and author Danny Ellis. Doors open at 7. Refreshments, song circle and jam sessions follow the concert.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s Community Read this year is “Fahrenheit 451,” by Ray Bradbury. The community is invited to read this book and then join together for any of dozens of library events, including discussions and film.
