It's time for the Weekend Run + Refuel. Each week we provide you with a new local running route along with a suggestion on where to grab brunch or lunch after.
This week we head back to SouthPark for a seven miler through South Charlotte that ends with brunch at Cafe Monte. The forecast for the weekend here in Charlotte features perfect fall weather so we're giving you a longer run option than normal so that you can soak up that crisp air and sunshine! And who doesn't want to finish their run with coffee, French pastries and crepes?
This run begins and ends at Cafe Monte. It's located on Fairview Road in the Allen Tate building at Phillips Place.
Here is your overview map of the run. This run route has sidewalks the entire time and you should never have to cross over any streets. If you head out early on Saturday or Sunday, there is minimal traffic and things are pretty quiet and serene.
Never miss a local story.
And here are your turn-by-turn directions.

- Left Sharon
- Follow Sharon for about a mile and a half until and continue on Quail Hollow Road

Once you arrive back at Cafe Monte, get ready to eat! Cafe Monte is a French bakery and bistro that opens daily at 9 a.m. and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Be sure to take a look at the pastry case on your way to your seat for a variety of croissants, macarons, brownies, tarts and more. Save room for dessert here!
Cafe Monte has an expansive brunch menu including everything from omelets to salads to steak and eggs and much more!
I especially love their quiche.
In the mood for something lighter? Try the chicken salad plate. They have a great chicken salad with dried cranberries and nuts in it.
Cafe Monte offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes. You can never go wrong with a nutella crepe!
Have a great weekend and happy running!
