On Friday, 16 campers, ages 7-13, wrapped up a week of culinary camp by preparing a meal for family members at Chef Alyssa's Kitchen. The menu included roasted chicken with BBQ sauce and the fixing's including a watermelon popsicle for dessert.
Scott Brooks makes a cheeseburger, all the way, at Brooks Sandwich House on N. Brevard St. in NoDa. Brooks says the chili, made with a secret family recipe, is one ingredient which makes the sandwiches at Brooks Sandwich Shop special. Kevin Alexander's "The 100 Best Burgers in America" project for Thrillist recently ranked this burger as the 8th best in the country.
