After moving this April from a gloomy cavern to an airy 12th-floor newsroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, the news staff of the Charlotte Observer has been fairly stunned by the views we now enjoy every day. From the constant construction along the skyline, approaching storms clouds and lightning strikes, to window washers hanging by skinny ropes as they lurch past our desks, we’ve come to realize how much fun it can be to just look out the window. Just the other day, a squadron of A-10 fighter jets blew through town.
And that got us thinking: now that nearly everyone carries a camera in this era of the smartphone, a lot of you probably have great shots of your view. So, whether you work uptown, are happily ensconced in the suburbs or enjoying life in the country, we’d love to see the moments you’ve captured out the window.
