A beauty regimen is not something to be taken lightly. Of course you want to look stunning on your big day, and starting early can certainly help get you there. Here is a pre-wedding regimen to help you feel confident, fresh and beautiful!
Six months prior to your wedding: If you don’t have a hairstylist you work with regularly, seek one out and experiment with cuts and colors. Begin a workout program, and stick to it! For skin problems, consult a dermatologist. You don’t want to start using new products too close to the event. Evaluate your eating habits, and make it a priority to eat healthy.
Three months prior: How are those workouts going? If possible, begin monthly manicures to get your hands in shape. If considering acrylics, it’s a good idea to try them out to get used to them. Do you have a wedding hairdo picked out? If not, begin looking at pictures, and show ones you like to your stylist.
One to two months prior: Still “in” with the gym? Schedule a trial run with both your makeup artist and hairstylist. And be sure to bring your veil and headpiece along. Thinking about whitening your teeth? Think no more – go for it! Smooth the rough spots on elbows, knees and feet with daily lotion therapy.
Two weeks and counting: Have your hair cut; don’t literally “cut it too close” to your big day. Be sure to get plenty of rest. A soothing massage can also ease some of the stress.
One week to go: Eyebrow, bikini and any other waxing should be done now. Schedule a teeth cleaning for the most dazzling pearly whites.
The day before: Have a manicure and pedicure. Get a massage. Hydrate well, and get lots of rest! Relax. You’ve worked hard and it’s time for the reward. You’re going to be gorgeous!
