Phew! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Before I get back into the swing of regular newlywed and wedding inspired posts, I wanted to update you on how we’ve all been since my absence.
The biggest news I have involves my career. As you might remember, my work situation was temporary and wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Since I couldn’t be sure I’d have a job after April, I left the company and took an internship with Magnolia Events! As it turns out, my company ended up permanently closing the Charlotte site. So not only did I make the right decision, I’m much happier. I love planning events and the experience I’m getting is invaluable.
Robert and Alice are doing well too! Robert graduates from college this year and is looking forward to starting his IT career. As for Alice, she’s still spoiled rotten and receiving an abundance of hugs from us both.
It’s only April, but 2014 has already taught me so much. I took a leap of faith when leaving my job, and while it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, it showed me how important it is to take risks. I wasn’t happy doing what I was doing and having a career I love is my biggest goal in life. Now that I’ve seen how beneficial taking risks can be, I know I won’t be as afraid when future opportunities arise. This experience has been life changing and I’m excited to share the start of a new adventure with all of you!
