A problem with storage of a perishable ingredient has led to a voluntary recall of more than 7,000 cases of Kraft American Singles Pasteurized Cheese Product announced by the FDA.
The recall is limited to four varieties with “Best When Used By” dates of Feb. 20 and Feb. 21, 2015. The cases were sold across the United States, but not sent overseas.
The four products are 12-ounce, 16-ounce (in 12-count and 36-count cases) and 64-ounce packages.
No illnesses have been reported. The problem was caused by a supplier that didn’t store an ingredient at the temperature Kraft requires, which could lead the product to spoil prematurely.
