With his iconic restaurant Barrington’s marking its 15th year, Charlotte chef/restaurateur Bruce Moffett is getting some love for his leadership in the restaurant community.
Moffett will be this year’s winner of the Pegasus Award from the Charlotte chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The Pegasus is given every year to a leader “who has made significant contributions to the betterment of the community, enhancing its reputation and prestige.”
Moffett was picked for his work to get Charlotte recognized as a culinary destination, and for his charitable contributions. Earlier this year, Moffett started the “Charlotte Cooks Too” campaign, urging chefs and restaurants to use social media to get the word out on what restaurants here are doing. Chefs and diners are being asked to use the hashtag #Charlottecookstoo when they post about restaurants and food events.
