“Pharmacists - The Missing Link in the Chain of Optimal Health”
The Ivey memory wellness day center will host this free workshop 2-4 p.m. and again 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, 6030 Park South Drive. Speakers include Dr. Amina Abubakar and Courtni Ages of Rx Clinic Pharmacy in Charlotte, who will discuss the key role pharmacists play in bridging gaps between patients, providers and caregivers. Senior Health and Wellness Day
This free event for seniors and caregivers will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Cabarrus Arena, 4751 N.C. 49 North, Concord. Details: 704-920-3484. The event features free health screenings, information about resources such as Cabarrus County’s Active Living and Parks and Human Services departments, senior centers, vendors and more. Epilepsy Support Group
Charlotte Epilepsy Support Groups – teen and adult – will meet at 7 p.m. March 18 in the second-floor lab conference room, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, 200 Hawthorne Lane. This month’s meeting will feature a Q&A with neurologist Dr. Kaiwen Lin of the Carolina Neurological Clinic. These free meetings are open to friends and family. Novant Health and Thunder Road marathon
Novant Health has secured a three-year deal as the title sponsor of Charlotte’s Thunder Road Marathon, which will celebrate its 10th running on Nov. 15.
