Monarch will host a Mental Health First Aid program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Stanly Community College Small Business Center, 143 N. Second St., Albemarle. This eight-hour course will teach participants how to properly respond in a crisis situation involving individuals with mental illness or substance use disorder.
