Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is opening its season with a production featuring the values of compassion, friendship and kindness, as well as a hearty dose of sing-along songs in the award-winning “A Year with Frog and Toad.” Based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books , this whimsical show follows two friends -- friendly Frog and the cranky Toad -- through spring, summer, fall and winter.
Also debuting is Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s sensory-friendly performances for audience members on the autism spectrum or those in need of sensory-friendly modifications. During these performances (one at each of its six Mainstage productions), Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will dim lighting, soften sounds and provide fidgets for tactile stimulation among other modifications.
"A Year with Frog and Toad" runs September 30 through October 16, including a sensory-friendly performance at 4 p.m. on October 9 and a signed performance at 11 a.m. on October 15.
Tickets start at only $12 and can be purchased online at ctcharlotte.org or by calling the Box Office at 704-973-2828.
