If you’re looking for a picture book that tackles everyday challenges—whether you’ve experienced the challenge or not—”My Three Best Friends and Me, Zulay,” is that book. It follows four little ladies; Zulay, who is blind, and her three best friends, Maya, Nancy, and Chyng.
As Field Day approaches, they each know exactly what they’d like to do. As for Zulay, her idea requires a little more practice. But of course she is determined to succeed.
On Field Day, in front of her friends, teachers, and family, succeed is exactly what Zulay does. I truly enjoyed this story and the colorful illustrations. Overall, this book was a real treat.
