The Charlotte Mothers of Multiples (CMOMs) recently won the bid to host the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs Convention in 2012.
Building on the region's racing theme, as well as what daily's life like with multiples, CMOMs is theming the convention: “Life in the Fast Lane”. The organization expects hundreds of moms of multiples from all over the U.S. to attend and learn about multiple birth issues. "I am thrilled to bring the convention to Charlotte," said Traci Zeller, current CMOM President and Convention Chair. "Charlotte has so much to offer, and with the incredible community of families of multiple birth children that we have in the area, I know that CMOMs will host a fantastic convention."
The Charlotte Mothers of Multiples was founded in 1960 and is a non-profit organization supporting families with twins, triplets, quads or more. Serving over 500 members in the greater Charlotte area, CMOMs is one of the largest support groups for parents of multiples in the nation. Member services include parental support programs, educational opportunities, scholarship programs, information and equipment exchanges, and social support networks.
