Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing: Based on the best-selling book by perennial favorite author Judy Blume, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing is a hilarious portrait of family life guaranteed to entertain moms, dads, brothers, sisters and pet turtles alike. Dress Up Parties (1-5 years): Tots will enjoy dressing up as animals, playing games and making crafts 10 a.m. at Rays Splash Planet. Come to class in your animal costume. You must pre-register. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit & towel because classes include an all day pass to Ray's Splash Planet. $6 per child.
Parents Night Out: Parents can drop their children, ages 3-10, off at Noah’s Art SouthPark from 4-8 p.m. Students will participate in several activities including art projects, free play, face painting, pizza, and watch a cartoon. Call (704) 521-6657 to register. $35 and $20 for siblings.
Boogie Woogie Books: This musical storytime encourages little ones to snap their fingers, tap their toes and move with the groove, 11 a.m. at ImaginOn in The Round. The stories and songs are perfect for children 2-5 years old.
Orchid Spectacular: The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s third annual Orchid Spectacular opens Jan. 15 & continues until March 14. Open from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. this event is great for all ages. General Garden Admission is Adults $10, Senior (60+) $9, Child (4-12) $5, Members and children 3 and under free.
OH! Deer: Go to Latta Plantation Nature Center, 2-3:30 p.m. and learn about White-tail Deer and maybe catch seeing one in the woods. At the end you will get to participate in a fun deer game. For ages 5-12. $3 per child.
