On Saturday (Feb. 13) from 5-9 p.m., a group of 20 Queens students will sponsor a group babysitting night to benefit New Orleans. Every year Queens takes trips down to the Gulf coast to help rebuild homes that have been lost due to Hurricane Katrina, which happened more than four years ago. All money raised from this babysitting night will help send the students to New Orleans. We will provide snacks, games, activities, a kid-friendly movie, and lots of fun in a safe environment on campus.
We are asking the each family donates $10 per hour that your children are there. Extra donations are welcome. We ask that the children be at least 1 year old. We will be holding the babysitting night Rex’s Lair, which is a space on campus with couches, a TV and a kitchen.
Please RSVP by Friday by 5 p.m. to Nicole Ayala at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 704-337-2596. Directions to the location will be sent to you upon receiving your RSVP.
There will be staff representation at the event to help out the students. All students are at least 18 years of age or older. Also please let us know if your child has any allergies. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Nicole Ayala.
