Garden to Friendship Table Camp is for children ages 6 through 13 that will teach children gardening and culinary skills. The camp is June 22-25 in Friendship Tray’s kitchen and Friendship Gardens off Remount Road.
The campers will have the opportunity to interact with some local chefs, farmers, garden experts as they learn planting skills, composting, kitchen safety, and some menu planning and food presentation.
Day one: Meet in Friendship Garden, tour the industrial kitchen at Friendship Trays, eat a healthy snack, personalize chef hats and aprons, learn where food comes from, and experience an introduction to composting.
Day two: Planting Day in the garden, menu planning and food prep in Friendship Tray kitchen with local chef, Cooking and Baking with a hands-on demo from the owner of The Blushing Bakeshop, and preparing healthy snack.

Day three: Harvesting in the garden, Garden Art project, Introduction to local food production and farming by representative from Grateful Growers Farms, preparing healthy snack.
Day four: Cooking and preparing for afternoon Garden Party where invited guests experience what the campers have learned, prepared, planted, and harvested. Campers entertain the guests, serve items from the Grateful Growers Farm Harvest Moon Cart and receive Localvore and Junior Chef certificates.
The cost of the camp is $125 per child for the session and $100 for any siblings. The cost includes the camp session, chef hat and apron, as well as garden and kitchen supplies.
