Most moms are money-conscious. Let's be honest; finding a bargain makes us feel good, and saving money is something that we strive to do - on varying levels, of course.
The cash/envelope system is a method that many have found to be successful. For those of you who are not familiar with it, this mode utilizes envelopes to budget money for each category of expenditures - think food, entertainment, gas, etc. Basically you allocate funds for each category and save that money in each envelope for that category. When the money is out, well, you get the picture.
While I don't personally utilize the system, I do know lots of moms who do (and others whom could benefit by trying it!) The Savvycents wallet is, as they say, a functional and fashionable way to be frugal. An accordian-style file system inside the wallet allows you to separate money and coupons by categories. Along with the wallet comes file cards where you can label each category with pre-printed labels. Since I don't use the envelope system, I labled my own categories - receipts, coupons, gift cards, etc. This way, when I'm in the check-out line at the store with 3 kids hanging on me, I know exactly where to reach for my coupons! It also has plenty of space for credit cards, your licence, etc. The wallet comes in black and red and their new hot pink hue
