Prune like a Pro
Wing Haven’s experts will show how to prune beloved shrubs and trees in this seminar, 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 15 at the Elizabeth Lawrence House, 248 Ridgewood Ave. Learn proper pruning techniques, study pruning tools and watch an on-site pruning of a Camellia sansanqua hedge in front of the house. Vendor applications are being accepted for spaces at the Iredell Garden Fair, to be held April 26 at 444 Bristol Drive, Statesville. The fee is $50 per space before March 29 and $75 March 29-April 12. Vendors provide tables for the 12-by-12-foot spaces.
The annual education event draws about 50 Charlotte-area vendors, more than 30 master gardener volunteers and about 500 attendees for hands-on activities and workshops.
