Neighborhood walking tour
Visit Charlotte’s Biddleville neighborhood from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and learn how it has been shaped by residents, the economy, transportation and federal programs. The Charlotte Neighborhoods Lecture and Walking Tours series, which continues through May 2, also will feature three other Charlotte neighborhoods: Brooklyn, Plaza Midwood and NoDa. See flower gardens, vegetable plots, topiary and more during a free tour of Ravenwood and Grove Park, 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The tour begins at the triangle across from 6800 Terry Lane.
Tickets are on sale now for “Art in the Garden,” which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26 and 1 to 4 p.m. April 27. The tour includes six private and three public gardens where 18 artists will be at work. Ticket holders also can attend a party Sunday afternoon at the Mint on Randolph.
