The winner: As the Carolina Panthers wowed us during their 2013-2014 successful season, the Charlotte Observer Sports photographers produced outstanding photos for the Observer. I collected them all!
After the season was over, I used the photos and headlines to create a collage that was used in a serving tray. A large, wide picture box frame (Goodwill), two drawer pulls (Habitat Restore), Masonite/plywood, foam board/cardboard, and paint (optional) were used to assemble the project.
The picture frame was placed face down. The backing and the glass was removed. The glass was used to trace a template on the Masonite/plywood, the foam board/cardboard, and the collage. The frame can be painted if necessary. The drawer pulls were attached to the frame.
The frame was placed face down. Masonite/plywood added, foam board/cardboard on the Masonite/plywood and topped with the collage. Last, the glass was placed on top. Glazing points were placed each side of the frame. Dorothy Wise Douglas, Charlotte
