The winner: Instead of stuffing a drawer full of scarves, I now hang them neatly with my bracelet collection, also formerly relegated to a drawer. Amy Brooks of Morganton
Smart move for curling iron storage
Here’s a great tip from The Family Handyman magazine: Say goodbye to messy-looking curling irons lying on the vanity or toilet tank. Instead, use hook-and-loop tape (known as Velcro to many) to attach 5-inch lengths of 2-inch-diameter PVC pipe to the vanity door to hold them. Do the same with 3-inch pieces of 1 1/2-inch-diameter pipe to hold the cords. Just measure your curling irons to see how long your holsters need to be. Let curling irons cool before you stow them.
