Growing up on the family farm in Indiana, Patty Asken developed an appreciation for handcrafted confectionaries, often cooking up goodies in the kitchen with her mother. It was that same love of putting together simple, fresh ingredients to make something tasty that convinced her to start Bristol Creek Farms Toffee Shoppe more than 20 years ago. And now, since Asken moved to Davidson recently, her delectable homemade treats, which feature sweet cream butter, pure vanilla, premium chocolates, and roasted nuts, are available locally, including The Bradford Store and Ruby’s Gifts, as well as online. www.bristolcreekfarms.com
