One great thing about living in Lake Norman is the numerous places to find local, organic produce. The extra bonus: buying local helps support the farm-to-table movement happening right here in your own backyard. Here are a few spots to find fresh local and often organic fruits, veggies, and meat from your favorite Charlotte-area vendors.

Davidson Farmers Market Spend your Saturday morning weaving through more than 35 local producers and vendors at this Davidson mainstay. Expect to find locally-grown fruits and vegetables, meats, and cheeses produced by sustainable or organic methods when possible.

Old Store Produce Located in Huntersville, this small store is chock full of seasonal produce from nearby farms. Plus, find locally-made candles, soaps, pies, barbecue sauce, and more.

The Bradford Store This Huntersville treasure is a great place to find a wide variety of local produce and products including delicious cheeses, grass-fed beef, and even freshly pressed apple cider.

The Huntersville Growers’ Market Held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in Main & Maxwell Park, this market boasts fresh produce, meats, artisan breads, cakes, homemade jams and jellies and even fresh-cut flowers.
