    About 1,000 volunteers from all over the country crowded into a south Charlotte warehouse Tuesday to help Franklin Graham celebrate the send-off of 11 million shoeboxes filled with gifts to children in more than 100 countries. This year, Operation Christmas Child – a project started in 1993 by Boone-based Samaritan’s Purse – will route 2.4 million of the boxes through the Charlotte processing center.
